800+ cities across 20 countries and 5 continents later, I continue to trade in concrete & steel for undeveloped exotic places for a glimpse of wildlife, nature before it’s lost forever. It’s no mystery as most of you know I'm passionate about saving wildlife so once again I’ll be lacing up my sneakers to RUN FOR THE WILD Saturday, April 29th at the Bronx Zoo. This is a great cause organized by the Wildlife Conservation Society (“WCS”), the same organization that runs and operates NYC’s Zoos and Aquariums.
We're lucky to live in a world with elephants, lions, turtles, and countless other species; however, they need our help for a bright future. WCS has the reach and expertise to make a difference, but only with our help can they make protection a reality. WCS launched a plan to conserve the world’s largest wild places in 15 priority regions. Together, those are home to more than 50% of the world’s biodiversity! The money we raise will go toward establishing and helping to manage parks and reserves, safeguarding animals from poaching with active monitoring and patrolling, and inspiring communities to protect their local wildlife.
With your support, I hope to raise $500. Any amount will be appreciated and make a difference so trade in that latte!
P.S. Not only does this run support a great cause – it's also a really fun day at the Zoo! Join me on April 29th as a runner or cheer me on as a spectator. With your ticket to participate as a runner or a spectator you'll receive free access to the Zoo – fun for the whole family!
As if the above isn't convincing enough, keep in mind:
1) Your donation is tax deductible!
2) WCS is the highest rated and most transparent charity amongst its peers! (Research completed at www.charitynavigator.org)
3) For my New Yorkers, did you know this is the same organization that runs NYC's Zoo's & Aquariums!
4) Most importantly, your support will make me really, really, really happy!
I can't wait to tell you about my run through the Bronx Zoo or see you there!
